IEC-to-ANSI Clause Check

Nine clauses behave differently between IEC 60076-1 and IEEE C57.12.00. Tell the tool which basis your specification is written on and what you intend to hold the supplier to, and it returns the lines that need restating in the purchase order.

Clause IEC 60076-1 (2011) IEEE C57.12.00-2010 Put this in the purchase order Priority
Load-loss reference temperature75 °C85 °CName the reference temperature the guarantee is quoted at. Two offers on different bases are not comparable.
No-load-loss reference temperature75 °C, measured at factory temperature, no correction20 °C core-loss reference with a correction equationState whether a temperature correction to the reference is required on the test report.
Loss tolerance+15 % on an individual loss, total not above +10 %No-load +10 %, total +6 %Restate the tolerance you will hold and the penalty formula for exceeding it.
Excitation (no-load) currentMaximum +30 % of design valueNot specifiedFix the no-load current guarantee explicitly rather than relying on the standard.
Load-loss test currentMay be measured down to 50 % of rated currentFull rated current requiredRequire full-current measurement if a partial-current test would not satisfy your engineer.
Test supply frequencyWithin 1 % of ratedWithin 0.5 % of ratedAdopt the tighter of the two figures in the test plan.
Voltage waveshapeTotal harmonic content up to 5 %Not specifiedState the acceptable waveform correction limit for the loss measurement.
Three-phase symmetryPhase voltage spread up to 3 %Not specifiedCarry the IEC limit forward as an explicit test condition.
Maximum waveform correction3 % between average and r.m.s. voltageAbove 5 % the waveform must be improvedAgree which rule governs before the witness test is scheduled.
